IRCC issued 2,500 ITAs in a CEC draw on October 15, 2026 at CRS 519. A PNP round on October 13 invited 752 at CRS 772.
On October 15, 2026, IRCC invited 2,500 Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates at a minimum CRS of 519. That ends a three-round slide in the CEC cutoff (521, 519, 518) with a one-point rise, even though IRCC invited 500 more people than last time.
This was round #449, recorded at 10:02:33 UTC. The tie-breaking cutoff was September 21, 2026 at 19:00:47 UTC: among candidates at exactly 519, those whose profiles were submitted before that moment ranked ahead. The timestamp adds no points and is not an extra eligibility rule.
Two days earlier, on October 13, IRCC held a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) round that invited 752 candidates at CRS 772. Provincial nominees get 600 extra points, so that cutoff says nothing about CEC competitiveness.
More invitations normally lower a cutoff, since IRCC reaches further down the ranking. Here, 25 percent more invitations than September 29 (2,500 vs 2,000) still came with a one-point rise. The likeliest reason is how many candidates sit just above the line, but IRCC does not publish the breakdown, so this is an inference.
| Date | ITAs issued | CRS cutoff |
|---|
| August 5, 2026 | 3,000 | 516 |
| August 18, 2026 | 1,000 | 523 |
| September 1, 2026 | 2,000 | 521 |
| September 15, 2026 | 2,000 | 519 |
| September 29, 2026 | 2,000 | 518 |
| October 15, 2026 | 2,500 | 519 |
Six CEC rounds, a spread of just seven points (516 to 523). The band is tight.
If you scored 519 or higher and are CEC-eligible: check your account for an ITA.
If you scored 505-518: you are within about 14 points, and a language retest is usually the fastest lever. See how to improve your CRS score fast.
If you are well below 500: a provincial nomination adds 600 points, and category-based draws use different cutoffs. Our category-based draws guide shows which lanes fit your work history.
Tip
If you have a job in a high-wage occupation, read our note on the November 3 CRS changes before spending money on a retest. Your score may change without you doing anything.
You have 60 days, until about December 14, 2026, to submit a complete application. Start with police certificates and your medical exam, then gather language results and proof of work experience.
IRCC has said pool scores will be recalculated after the November 3 changes, with invitation rounds paused until that finishes. If you are close to the cutoff, you may not get another round at today's scoring for some time. That is our reading of the announcement; IRCC has not given a resumption date.
